A Battle Against Depression

Divided Lines

Shrouded by a veil
Of desperate desire;
Alas! The vicious hoards
Of barbarians soldier on
And defensive walls cannot
Hold back the onslaught

Torn apart by whispers
On a sickening tongue;
Trapped within a pit
Of fierce, jeering foes:
Nothing cuts deeper than
The wounds of callous lies

Injured by a nightmare
Without physical form;
Dirty, crushing memories
Paired with bitter disrespect.
Words of steel pierce through
This undiscovered hero’s heart
