Sieve

This is a great image of sadness and emptiness. I love the wordplay on dam/damn at the end, too.

Slumpless

The briny surge of life

Flowed through me.

Shards of broken dreams stinging their way out.

I was a sieve

All washed out.

Heavy with debris.

You floating away and onwards.

I was your net.

I caught your pain.

And now I see disdain

For I am dirty and you are clean.

I should have been a dam.

Damn it I should have been.
