paper cups

A strong poem from a great poet.

sheila sea

I’ve left my grief in paper cups

in sinks

in stupor

with confetti floating

in liquor

wading in a puddle

like the birth of aphrodite

i lost my sense

incensed by burden

but I got long inhaled

breath

and blood for fighting

– sheila c
